DRESSED IN WHITE
by
Jack Forge
SOLO
Dressed again in white she turns,
aglow in winter light,
remembering another time
when hope was there in sight.
Now she knows what we all learn
that life's a boat on a stream:
it sails away from morn to night--
the journey of a dream.
I see her in a rev'rie
like a spirit caught in a mirror,
turning just to say goodbye,
just turning now to wave goodbye.
She's waving now to say goodbye,
say goodbye.
She bids farewell to what she's known
of the dancing days.
CHORUS (Repeats previous lines.)
Goodbye!
SOLO
She's turning now to wave goodbye.
CHORUS
Goodbye!
SOLO
She's waving now to say goodbye,
say goodbye, bye she says.
She bids adieu to all she knew
of the dancing days.
