THE BIRD, THE RAINBOW, AND I

THE BIRD, THE RAINBOW, AND I by Jack Forge
If I were a bird so airy and bright, and you beckoned to me, I'd land on your hand, if I were a bird so cheerful and light.

If I were a bow arcing the sky, and you became sad, I'd color the gray, were I a rainbow painting the sky.

But you see what I am and should take me so. If you want something else go fish in the stars. You know what I am-- just take me like so.
